Wagtail,Hubli,Karnataka
This image was shot in Hubli. There is a lake, which is now deserted, or it will be better to say that the Govt. has taken steps to convert the lake into a park for the local residents recreation purpose, and therby neglecting the large no of species that visited this lake. This image of the wagtail was taken when the dilution was in process. I could actually go down in the lake which was not possible around 4 years back. I waited there for some time then this wagtail came near me. I got some time to get accustomed to it, probably it did not think me its enemy so gave me ample time to shoot and posed for me.

The landing Inspectors, Attiveri Bird Sanctuary.
Attiveri BS, is not known to many, one reason for this might be the lack of awarness among the residents of Hubli-Dharwad and near by places. This is a beautiful place for birding, but in recent days as I witnessed, people come here just for enjoyment. More than Bird lovers and wildlife conservationist we can find some couples enjoying the shades of trees and peaceful atmosphere. But, for me it never disappointed. A large no of migratory birds come here. Comb duck is one of them. It was a very difficult time to shoot them because they were at a very far distance and a no of Red Wattled Lapwings were around, which is a main cause for the other birds to be alarmed. Somehow I tried and got this shot. The LANDING INSPECTORS.

This is one of my first images when I got my first DSLR. At that time I had no clues about birds and its name. To me a crow and a myna were the only birds, and Eagle is an eagle, a duck was a duck and any other bird was just a bird. It is now when I started shooting, searched the net, purchased books, I came to know how many birds are there in our surroundings. This is something very amazing for me personally.
